The greatest distance run on a manual treadmill in 24 hours (male) is 174.08 km (108.16 mi), and was achieved by Liyanage Agalawatta Ashoka Princely (Sri Lanka), in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on 9 March 2025.

Princely has been dedicated to treadmill running for over 20 years and is an accomplished long-distance runner, having earned medals at the LSR Colombo International Marathon. In a remarkable feat, he scaled Adam's Peak Mountain in Sri Lanka using four different trails—covering 88.48 km—all within 24 hours.

With his endurance developed to ultra-marathon level, Princely set his sights on a new challenge: attempting a world record on a manual treadmill. Inspired by both his passion and the uniqueness of the experience, he aimed to bring this pioneering effort to his country.
