Contortionist Eddie Flexible literally bends over backwards to become a record breaker

Eddie John Browne has quite literally bent over backwards to become a record breaker.
The contortionist from Sierra Leone is better known as “Eddie Flexible”, and it’s clear to see why.
Eddie, who is featured within the pages of Guinness World Records 2026, first became a record breaker on 10 February when equalled the most full body revolutions maintaining a chest stand position in one minute (male) with a total of 38.
He shares that title with Mohammed Alsheikh (Palestine).
A couple of weeks later, on 27 February, he claimed a title all of his own, the most consecutive full body revolutions with a backbend handstand (male) with a total of 21.
In our video, Eddie can be seen folded in half with his chest on the floor and running around his body.
That sounds pretty bonkers but it’s the best way we can think to explain it.
He’s also seen holding himself up in a handstand position but bending at the waist and throwing his legs around in a circle, bending over backwards to literally stand on his own head and twisting his body into various impossible-looking positions.

Eddie has made an impressive career for himself thanks to his unique abilities.
He is currently performing with the prestigious Cirque du Soleil and features in the trailer for live show ECHO.
The show is currently touring North America.
Eddie has over 140,000 followers on his Instagram account, where he regularly posts clips of himself contorting his body.
Captioning an Instagram video that showed him demonstrating body revolution, he wrote: “At seven years old, in my room in Sierra Leone, I discovered what my body could do.
“As a self-taught, imagine waking up one day, and movement calls you - not as a task, but as a language.
“You follow it… you trust it. And it begins to remember you too.
“Back then, I didn’t know it would be called contortion, or that one day it would echo across the world.
“From being flexible to becoming legendary.”
He wrote in another post: “Movement is freedom. It has to be respected - it’s our way to remember.”
Eddie was thrilled to see himself in our latest book.
Alongside a fun Instagram video, he wrote: “Guess what I made it out of 2,247 records to @guinnessworldrecords book 2026.
“This is bigger than just a certificate. This is a message from the body - that even in silence, we can bend history.
“From Sierra Leone to Cirque du Soleil to the Guinness World Records. I didn’t just spin. I spoke. I didn’t just break records. I broke limits.”
He added: “For every kid who was told to sit still… For every dreamer with a different body… For the quiet ones who move like a storm…
“You are seen. You are the story. You are the record.”
